Finally saw the movie and it was great! I was expecting a bit more drama and inspiration. But it provided more
comedy instead.
The movie turned out to be exactly what I needed. Lots of laughter, just enough sadness and a sprinklings of inspiration. I think this role, for Sandra Bullock, is what Erin Brockovich was for Julia Roberts. It fits her onscreen personality and plays to her strengths as an actress in just the perfect way. I predict that she will, at least, get an Oscar nomination. Whether she wins or not will depend on who she's up against. Noticed some interestingly framed shots in the movie but wasn't sure what the motivation was. This is a movie I'll definitely buy. I also thought Tim McGraw did a great job as well! Has he acted before? I couldn't tell! Little S.J., played by Jae Head, was so adorable! This movie was well cast. And yes, that WAS the lady from LOST! Kim Dickens, for those who were wondering.

Garth Brooks? I think it's Tim McGraw as the Dad, no? It was a good role for SB, though. :) I saw it with my ladies' bunco group. I'm on the waiting list @ the library for the book.
