Bottle Shock
I watched the movie, Bottle Shock, on television the other day and thought about how unappreciated this movie was. I remembered seeing previews for it and wanted to watch it in the theater but somehow missed it. The plot was actually very engaging. Based on true events, this story follows
California wine country's attempt to rival that of France's best wines. It builds up to the blind taste-testing competition (in France) that would change the face of winery across the world. The movie stars Alan Rickman, Bill Pullman and Chris Pine. Just being able to see what goes into making wine, how the business works and the great cost involved, gave me a greater appreciation for the profession and the industry. Although I do not drink alcohol myself, I was impressed and inspired nonetheless. This is a movie I will definitely purchase.
